A tour of Journey Home at Home

The entry hall at Journey Home showcases our work.  custom designed our front door, specified new antique style hardware and electrical. designed the wall panelling and trim details.  New custom French doors to fit the odd size opening.  We selected a grass cloth wall paper to compliment other furnishings.

This time entry hall is accented with practical and stylish classic furnishings.  We custom sized the runner.
Design accents provide the finishing touches.

INPROGRESS - Wall panelling design has gone in.

Difficult room shape, no problem

Journey Home was asked to furnish an L shaped living room to cater for group conversation and reading.  Our client's goal was to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable room that did not feel too formal and she really liked sage green colours we spotted during the briefing process.
Journey Home organised carpets, painting and electricians, then supplied new furniture, window treatments, artwork and all the accessories. On installation day we set up the client's library with their large collection of books. The result is a relaxed finished room, nothing left to do.  Our client enjoys sitting in there after work.

Get the look with Journey Home - Bobbin Chair

I recently proposed a version of the bobbin chair for a client in a more conservative white frame with different fabrics.    Taylor it to your look, what would you do?

The cost of window treatments

So what is the cost of window treatments?   It is really up to you what you spend, we generally work to your budget, with some guidance as to what your budget will buy you. For example Journey Home has supplied curtain treatments from $450 to $9000 per window and everything in the middle.
Bronze finished timber rods with brass trims, elegantly support heavy insulated curtains and sheers.

It all depends if you want something simple

Or we can really go to town.
its totally up to you!

For clients who don't need the whole room designed, Journey Home offers a window treatment service to select the right product type, the right fabric choice and nut out the little details for your windows.

A rebate is offered against the service fee if a certain amount is spent on window treatments.
