The room image in Journey Home's recent advertisement in the Reid Residents Association newsletter didn't print too well, so I am posting the picture here on the blog.
This transitional family dining room, caters to today's modern lifestyle and fashionable elements using traditional design elements. In fact I would like to create our own family dining room with similar architectural design features and Windsor chairs.
More about Windsor Chairs
Originally of English design, they were evolved by furniture makers in the early years of European settlement of the USA and are still a design staple for American designers today. Black was a popular choice both then and now. A well made Windsor chair is highly comfortable and will last for generations.
Windsor Chairs are again highly fashionable in the traditional genre of design so about two years ago I developed two lines of Windsor chairs for my old furniture manufacturing business. They are manufactured using traditional hand made techniques and feature comfortable contoured seats.
Journey Home can supply them with both the square and round design, either with or without arms. A selection of finishes is available including custom painting in bright colours.

Hi - I would love to find a table like the one in the image at the top of the page from the Journey Home's recent advertisement in the Reid Residents Association newsletter.
ReplyDeleteDo you have any other pictures, dimensions, or make of the table? If I can't find it I'd love to have one made. I have 2 of the exact same black Windsor chairs I plan to use for the ends. What style would you recommend for the side chairs?
Thanks!
Hi Sarah, Thanks for taking an interest in my blog. When I am working with clients I have access to many tables to achieve a look that clients like from magazines and blogs or I will quote having a similar item custom made in appropriate dimensions, and variety of price points within the project budget. I would have to consider your overall room style and functional requirements to provide you with sound advice on your side chairs. It is great that you've got a pair of Black Windsor chairs as they are a timeless classic and making such a come back. They would be a great starting point for me to work with to supply you with a room scheme. It sounds like my furnishing sourcing service would be helpful to you, if you would like information on how it works please give me a call. I am hosting a charity open house event next weekend. Here is the link in case you would like to attend http://www.designershowhouse.com.au/
DeleteThanks for commenting, hopefully I will meet you soon, Nadine
